11/9

It's Monday, and our show opens on Thursday..wait for it...doing math now... damn I just took the GRE, you'd think I could do some speedy calculations!... 3 days till Opening!! Ta-Dah! Actually, my math score suffered terribly, while my Essay and English rocked.. so let me get down to what I'm better at - writing.....

This has been an insane ride and one which I've never taken before. Playing the lead role - no wait - Rehearsing a lead role has been such a great experience and one which I hope I will do again many times! PLAYING the lead role is yet to come. This Thursday night will be like no other!

For the past 7 weeks I have basically had this schedule:

7:30am - buzz buzz
9:00am - coffee and work
6:30pm - leave work
7:00pm - rehearsal
10:30pm - drive home
11:00pm - HOT shower to try and relax
12:00am - sleep (better yet, toss and turn all night)

*rehearsals on weekends

After relaying that schedule to a friend of mine, he told me I had no life. My response was, "But this IS my life, and I love it!"

We have 5 weeks of performances and I'm already dreading closing night. Words cannot express how much fun I am having! I'm scared to death, yet thrilled the entire time. Much like being on a roller coaster. Honestly, EXACTLY like being on a roller coaster! I am absolutely solid on everything I need to know for the show (lines, blocking, objectives, inner monologues, the character, the blindness), but for some reason, I feel like I'm jumping head first into a pool in the dead of winter. Is it heated? Is it not? Oh well, I'm already in mid air! SSSSHHHHHIIIIIT!

I love it, I love it, I love it!

Come see me jump...and buy me a drink afterwards! I'll need it.
